Early State To Watch Is Indiana
Election Day is Here, About to Go Vote
I have reservations, but I am going to vote for Obama as the lesser of two evils. I don't like McCain, and any chance he would have ever had in getting my vote, or at least getting me to stay home vanished when he put Sarah Palin on the ballot. She may have rejuvenated the Republican Base, but she conversely fired up many of us on the Democratic Side, gave many of us that were not happy with Obama (I supported Hillary) reason to plug back in and take a stand...sorry, but the thought of that Alaskan Wacko being a breath away from the presidency is unacceptable.
Let me go vote, and I'll be back on to live blog the election later in the day.

Post Debate Wrap Up
First, on Joe Plumber...first, Joe needs to do his homework, as he would not be better off in a John McCain presidency. McCain's tax cuts are identical to George bush's tax cuts that benefit the UBER RICH. Secondly, the Plumbers Union has endorsed Barack Obama for President. Surely they have reviewed borth candidates and their proposals better than Joe has.
Not sure how many paid attention to John McCain's facial expressions, his never ending sting of angry heaves and sighs throughout the debate. It was obvious that John McCain was having a hard time controlling his temper, and he came across as a very mean spirited and out of control candidate.
Watching the red and green lines on CNN, the debate was clearly won by Barack Obama in the eyes of those undecided voters. In early polling results on CNN, again the nodd goes clearly to Barack Obama, even though more Republicans watched the debtes than Democrats.
I thought Obama gave a strong, yet safe performance. That is all he had to do, as it was John McCain that needed to land a knockout blow, and he failed to deliber. In fact, I think that was the source of his anger tonight...he found out early on that he just could not lay a serous punch on the Obama.
Last note, and would love someone to verify this...after the debatge was over, I would sear I heard John McCain use the term Kid while shaking Obama's hand, as in "Nice job Kid." If that is true, that id disgusting on John McCain's part. Simply stated, Obama wins, and John McCain never came close to scoring a GAME CHANGER.

Some News From Campaign Trail
Two important news stories surround the debate. In the first, Obama is pulling away in the National Polls having posted up DOUBLE DIGITS leads, and for the first time being supported by 52 percent of those polled. This election is all but over, but I caution Democrats NOT TO GIVE UP THE FULL COURT PRESS...let us not forget the 2000 Presidential Election that Gore was winning, and that George W. Bush ended up stealing away from us. Be ever vigilent.
Obama reaches record 11-point lead in Gallup poll
Democrat Barack Obama has expanded his lead over Republican John McCain in today's Gallup Tracking Poll and now is ahead 52%-41%. Gallup says it's Obama's largest margin of the campaign and also the first time he's made it to 52%.
Like other tracking polls, this one is based on three nights of polling, Sunday through Tuesday. Almost all interviews were done before the presidential debate last night.
As you see in today's other results below, Obama's lead is much smaller in some of them -- as little as 1 percentage point in one case. We are going to look for analysis of the variation and will update this post if we find some. Meanwhile, click on each poll for information on sample size, margin of error and other details.
Rasmussen: Obama 51%, McCain 45%
Diageo/Hotline: Obama 45%, McCain 44%
Reuters/C-SPAN/Zogby: Obama 47%, McCain 45%
Research2000/Daily Kos: Obama 51%, McCain 41%
In the second story, the Alaska's Supreme Court has said they will make a quick decision on weither or not to shut down the Palin ABUSE OF POWER investigation. Give us a break, this is an investigation that Sarah Palin said she WELCOMED. In the meantime, her husband Todd has said he will cooperate...sort of! He will only answer written questions, and his answers will be reviewed by his legal team! That is not how it is supposed to work. You are asked a question, you given a VERBAL response, and then depending on your answer, and without the benefit of coaching from your attorney, you give follow up answers. Let us have the investigation, and let the chips fall where they may BEFORE NOVEMBER 5th, 2008.
Alaska high court to rule quickly on Palin probe
ANCHORAGE, Alaska — Alaska's Supreme Court says it will rule quickly on whether to shut down an abuse-of-power investigation into Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin.
Friday is the deadline for lawmakers to receive an investigative report into whether the Alaska governor abused her authority by firing her public safety commissioner. Critics claim she fired him because he wouldn't dismiss a state trooper who had gone through a nasty divorce with her sister.
In court Wednesday, an attorney for five Republican lawmakers said the probe is a front for politicians trying to embarrass Palin.
Palin is a party to the lawsuit. Her husband and top aides recently agreed to cooperate with the probe.

Public Opinion Is In...McCain Got HIS ASS KICKED In Debate!

I think McCain lost the entire debate when he insisted that we must FINISH to the BITTER END every war we ever start! Excuse me Mr. McCain, we ended the Korean War, were the soldiers in that war DISGRACED because we did not fight the war to a (quote and unquote) a successful end? You sir are a spoiled pamper ass munch who only survived your military career because your daddie and his daddie were admirals. Lets not forget, you crash FIVE PLANES while on active duty, only one of them in Vietnam...that IS SOME RECORD.
You lost tonight, and a big reason for that lose is the fact that you, like your wife Cindy are a spoiled elitist! You have no style, no grace, and probably need some serious counseling to deal wtih your anger issues and self loathing.
