The Crash and Burn McCain in Video
Presidential Campaign Is Over...Barack Obama Our Next President
The final debate is over, and all the polls, including the one here on Washington Scandal give a decisive win to Barack Obama. However, that is not why I am officially pronouncing this election officially over. I usually fall asleep with my television on, which means I wake up to the news streaming into my sleepy head as I give my cats a pat on the head and get ready to start my day. This morning I woke up to Sarah Palin spitting out tired sounding, canned sound bites up in Maine. There are barely over two weeks before we finally get to vote, barely over two weeks before we finally get a break from this constant barrage of STUMP NEWS, and Sarah Palin is up in Maine clawing for ONE ELECTORAL VOTE...that's right, stumping for one vote.Maine is one of only two states (the other being Nebraska) where you can win an electoral vote while losing the state. If you ever needed a clear sign that the fat lady has sung, that John McCain's Campaign is over though the election process marches on, this is it. According to an article in the Denver paper, the McCain Campaign sees an opening in Maine's 2nd Congressional District because of its similarities to Alaska, with its many lakes and its Moose! Enter Sarah Palin and her stump speech there...HELLO, we are talking one Electoral Vote! John McCain does not need one electoral vote, he needs fistfuls of them. When you are taking your number two and sending her off to Maine to chase down one electoral vote, you have officially cried Uncle, telegraphed to America that your Campaign is Toast...can someone pass the Marmalade?
McCain sees an opening in rural Maine
By GLENN ADAMS
Associated Press Writer
BANGOR, Maine (AP) -- Republican John McCain's campaign sees similarities between rugged Alaska and northern Maine's expanse of lakes, forests and coastline, and hopes that running mate Sarah Palin can help navigate the terrain.
The campaign believes the Alaska governor and moose-hunting hockey mom will connect with voters in a region where hunting, fishing and snowmobiling are popular.
McCain can win one electoral vote if he takes Maine's 2nd Congressional District, the biggest district in geographic terms east of the Mississippi, a patchwork of forests and lakes that are blanketed by snow for much of the year.
Focusing on a single district could make sense in Maine, one of only two states - the other is Nebraska - that allow electoral votes to be split. It means that even a statewide loser could grab one of Maine's four electoral votes.
"Certainly the 2nd District is within his sights. He can win this district," said Mark Brewer, political science professor at the University of Maine.

Al Austin of Tampa...is he a BIGOT? a Racist? a LIAR?
You were the Tampa-St. Petersburg’s 2008 GOP National Convention Host Committee CHAIRMAN, and you are the CEO of Austin Companies. Do you really expect us as Americans to believe you did not READ a racist bigoted joke before you sent it out to your TOP SECRET inner circle GOP email list? You sir are a FUCKING LIAR.
Further, you sent out a joke that has both Michele and Barack Obama being assassinated! Do you find that FUNNY you sick twisted FUCK?
Tell me Mr. Pillar of the GOP, Mr. Super Republican FUND RAISER and supposedly well respected Tampa Businessman, do you hate BLACK PEOPLE?
YOU NEED TO OWN YOUR SHIT! Stop trying to act like your forwarding of that racist joke was simply a ill fated mistake on your part. Further, what kind of racist sheet wearing friends to you spend time with to have even RECIEVED THAT RACIST JOKE?
Tampa, 75, CEO, Austin Cos.
A pioneer developer of the Westshore business district in Tampa, Austin is the finance chairman for the Republican Party of Florida. He's had a leadership role in every Republican presidential campaign in Florida since 1972. A member of the Florida Electoral College in the 2000 election, Austin has achieved "super ranger" status this election cycle, collecting at least $300,000 for the Republican National Committee and another $200,000 for the Bush-Cheney campaign, according to Public Citizen. Austin serves as chairman of the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority and is on the board advising Jeb Bush or military base realignments and closures.
Top GOP Official In Tampa JOKES About Obama Assassination!
Updated Oct 15, 2008 at 05:58 PM
Al Austin, a longtime, high-level Republican fundraiser from Tampa, today sent to his list of political contacts an e-mail containing a joke that refers to the assassination of Barack Obama.
When asked about the e-mail, Austin said it was a mistake and apologized and that he wouldn’t knowingly have circulated it. He said he planned to send an apology and retraction to the same e-mail list.
Al Austin/ Tribune file photo
The joke concerns a group of schoolchildren discussing the definition of “tragedy” as opposed to “great loss” or “accident.” The punch line comes when one child says that if an airplane carrying Obama and his wife, Michelle, “was struck by a ‘friendly fire’ missile and blown to smithereens,” the event might be a tragedy “because it certainly wouldn’t be a great loss, and it probably wouldn’t be an accident either.”
Austin acknowledged sending the e-mail to his list of political contacts but said he forwarded it without fully reading it and didn’t know what it said. That list included at least two reporters.
According to the forwarding history on the e-mail, it had gone through at least two other individuals before being sent to Austin on Tuesday.
Austin, a prominent real estate developer long known as one of the state’s leading Republican campaign fundraisers, has served in recent years as finance chairman for both the national and state Republican parties.

RICHMOND -- The chairman of the Virginia Republican Party has compared Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama to Osama bin Laden because of the Illinois senator's past association with Bill Ayers, who has confessed to domestic bombings as a member of the Vietnam War-era Weather Underground.
Virginia Democrats, and some Republicans, are outraged, saying these are the latest in a series of inflammatory statements that the GOP has made against Obama in Virginia, a state that has emerged as a crucial battleground in the election.
New Sarah Palin Campaign Poster
Truth in the Political arena...let's see some yard signs that truly reflect the candidates and their words. As example, I mocked up this one this evening that I think fits Sarah (Moose Mouth) Palin quite well. we could have one of John McCain speaking to America from his Lazy Boy recliner, all snuggled up in a binkie while dotting wife Cindy brings him his Nestle hot chocolate and Nilla Wafers before his 9:00 PM bed time. By the way, how come we have not seen the Sarah Palin Bobble Head yet...could it be that she hasn't taken her head out of her ass long enough for someone to sculpt a good model for the product?Sunday, October 12, 2008

Sarah Palin CASHES In! Is Publishing Book!
Get your BARF BAGS folks...Sarah Palin is apparently already cashing in on her new found fame as John McCain's embarassing White Trash Vice Presidential pic with a new book coming out on October 12th! You can ORDER IT HERE! The title alone lets you know it is a book you can skip. "Sarah Palin Takes On Big Oil" is sure to miss the Amazon Top 10 list, and don't look for it to be on Oprah's Book of the Month list any time soon. It would be interesting to know the names of well heeled Republicans who buy up thousands of copies to line her pockets with gold in exchange for a wink and a wave.Tuesday, October 7, 2008
UPDATE...Palin Quiet While Supporter Calls Camera Man Uppity Negro!
Palin Supporter Calls African American Sound Man An "Uppity Negro"
As I noted below, in his piece today about the abuse that Palin supporters heaped on reporters at a Florida rally yesterday, WaPo's Dana Milbank wrote that one supporter had hurled an unspecified racial epithet at an African American sound man before saying, "sit down, boy."
A reporter who was there tells me what that unspecified epithet was: "Uppity negro."
Late Update: I should have made it clearer that this happened at a rally where Palin was stoking anger by attacking Katie Couric and the "mainstream media."
Can Your State Afford To Vote Red? Can Your State Afford To Back McCain?
There is an old adage, "To the victors go the spoils". There is much truth to that in these National Elections, with George Bush's Faith Based Initiatives perhaps the most stark example of it...George Bush steered more money into church coffers than perhaps any president of the United States ever has before after they played a pivotal role in putting him in the White House back in the year 2000. All the polls and indicators have most people beginning to predict an Obama win in November...which begs the question, can your state afford to vote red?Let us not kid ourselves...though every one would deny it, blue states will have a far EASIER time getting help from Washington, DC if Senator Obama becomes President Obama, it is human nature. Conversely, Red states would have an easier time if John McCain were miraculously become our next president. Red states need to seriously look at the electorial map, and ask themselves..."Can we AFFORD to back a loser?" If they are honest, the answer is no, especially in these troubling times, when how well a state survives the recession/depression we are in might very well depend on large government projects that are, or are not awarded to their state.
There are advantages to being on the WINNING TEAM, and red states would be well advised to give great pause before jumping on the John McCain wagon, as they are likely to find themselves riding off into the sunset alone and forgotten.

Press Release
Spalding Group founder responds to MoveOn.Org Obama bumper sticker giveaway – will give away up to a million “NOBAMA” bumper stickers
Louisville, KY July 31, 2008 – Ted Jackson, founder and president of Spalding Group, a principal supplier to the last six Republican Presidential campaigns, official licensee to the 2000 and 2004 Bush-Cheney campaigns, and creator of the McCainStore.com online store, announced today his plan to personally fund the giveaway of up to one million of the hugely popular “NOBAMA” bumper stickers. Jackson is making this independent expenditure to underwrite the overall NOBAMA bumper sticker giveaway expense as a direct response to a MoveOn.org offer of a free Obama bumper sticker.
Spalding Group initially created and recently introduced its NOBAMA product line in answer to overwhelming requests from its hundreds of thousands of customers. Since the line’s introduction, the sale of these items has been unprecedented. When asked about the NOBAMA product line success and his personal one million NOBAMA bumper sticker giveaway, Jackson responded, “MoveOn.Org is an ultra-liberal organization that, in reality, speaks for a very small minority in this country. This isn’t a coronation. As confirmed by recent polls, there are currently an equal number of individuals that oppose Obama as there are that support him, and they want to be heard.”

“Anyone who knows me or knows my background knows that I’ve been a Republican activist for over 30 years, even before I founded Spalding Group. This is something I personally wanted to do to make a statement along with many others that share my sentiment,” stated Jackson.
About Spalding Group
Founded in 1984, Spalding Group has been a principal supplier for the last six Republican presidential nominees. As 2000 and 2004 official licensee to the George W. Bush for President Campaigns, Spalding Group created the award-winning George W. Bush Online Store, www.georgewbushstore.com. Serving Republicans exclusively, Spalding Group provides campaign materials and services to hundreds of Republican organizations and candidates across the country. Having earned the national reputation as the “Republican Source”, Spalding Group’s primary focus for nearly 25 years has been helping to elect Republicans.

It is also the prototype for Ted Jackson's version of political life under a Republican market society. The way to win "brand loyalty," for the long-term, with carefully targeted populations, is to practice politics the QVC way, and fuse the identity of the organization (the Republican party) and icons of its leader ("W") with that of its appropriately chosen and high quality commodities. It's a building block to "stage six," where the high-quality branded commodity (and the services connected to that commodity) are a synecdoche for the Republican Party, and ultimately, for the government of the United States. This is what I believe that Ted Jackson meant by titling his article for PPB Online, "Riding the Coattails of Brand Loyalty."[29]

The Commonwealth Group last month sold its lobbying business to Tallahassee, Fla.-based Southern Strategy Group, which will open an office -- Southern Strategy of Kentucky LLC -- in Frankfort in the coming weeks. Southern Strategy currently operates offices in seven additional Southern states.
Terms of the sale of Commonwealth's lobbying business were not disclosed. The business' 21 lobbying clients accounted for about 38 percent of The Commonwealth Group's estimated $1.3 million in revenue in 2005, Mulloy said.
Power Creative, a Louisville-based advertising firm, has added The Commonwealth Group, StorageUSA Inc. and Mulloy Properties Inc. to its list of clients, according to a news release.
Terms of the agreements were not disclosed.

Local groups begins marketing campaign to support president
Business First of Louisville
Ted Jackson, a partner in the Louisville governmental affairs firm The Commonwealth Group and owner of the English Emprise marketing company, is leading a local effort to show support for President George W. Bush and the U.S. military.
In response to a national billboard campaign by the Peace Roots Alliance (peaceroots.org), Jackson and a group of 65 donors have purchased a billboard along Interstate 65 south that reads "Support President Bush and Our Troops."
Jackson also is establishing a Web site, http://www.supportpresidentbush.net, which is set to go online this weekend. Through the site, he plans to provide free artwork for similar billboard campaigns across the country, according to a news release.
In the release, Jackson said he organized the effort in response to nearly 30 billboards in Louisville purchased by the Summertown, Tenn.-based Peace Roots Alliance that read "Peace is Patriotic." The group also has organized rallies in Washington, D.C., and around the country advocating nonviolence and protesting the conflict with Iraq.
The release said Jackson also is collecting donations for additional billboards in Louisville. Each billboard costs $6,500.
A Louisiville, Ky.-based public relations firm has branched into Music City.
Peritus Public Relations will open its Nashville office on Dec. 1 in the SunTrust building downtown. Leading the office is public relations veteran Alan Hall.
The firm specializes in grass-roots efforts for companies and organizations and got its start as political consulting firm The Commonwealth Group. In 2005, the company switched to public relations and public affairs and now works in a variety of industries, including health care, airlines and the automotive industry and real estate.
Firm President Tim Mulloy says the firm had been eyeing Nashville as an expansion target for the past year.
Creative Alliance Inc., the city's largest advertising agency, has decided to spin off its public relations division and allow it concentrate on growing its public relations and public affairs clients.
The new company, Creative Alliance Public Relations Inc., will be led by division president Jessica Loving, who will add the title of CEO. The new company will be owned by Loving, Creative Alliance Inc. chairman and CEO Debbie Scoppechio, and Creative Alliance President Rick Duffy.
The new public relations agency will move its offices on Friday from the Starks Building at 455 S. Fourth St. to 200 S. Fifth St., where it will share space with a new strategic partner, The Commonwealth Group.

'Nobama' campaign gets big push in Louisville
Company offers merchandise
By Joseph Gerth • jgerth@courier-journal.com • August 12, 2008
Workers there stuff T-shirts, campaign buttons and bumper stickers -- possibly a million free bumper stickers -- into envelopes that will be sent to Republican activists, disaffected Democrats and conservative independents around the country.
It's all the brainchild of Louisville Republican strategist and businessman Ted Jackson, who is trying to counteract any potential groundswell for the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee by distributing much of the merchandise for a price -- but up to 1 million "Nobama" bumper stickers for free.

Palin Family Flouts Law When It Suits Them
The more we learn about the Palin family, and specifically Sarah Palin, it seems their morality and willingness to abide by the law only happens when it suits them. We already know her husband was convicted of a DUI...everyone wants to say it happened 25 years ago, and is not big deal. OK, we let that one slide. However; it seems that Sarah Palin had no problems violating Alaska's fishing laws, deciding she would skip having the proper permits until she GOT CAUGHT...now there is some family values! Further, if the rumor mill is correct, little Ms Puritan right wing conservative had no qualms about getting banged by her husband's business partner! Is that some kind of a Christian value I am unaware of, or was she just being a slut like her daughter? Now, before some of you accuse me of being a bit too harsh on Ms. Piss Mouth, lets take a serious look at this BOY Sarah Palin was letting her daughter spend time with by looking at his now dismantled MySpace page and some of the values expressed there by this WONDERFUL YOUNG MAN. He makes the following statements on his page:
- “I'm a f *ckin' redneck.” What a CLASSY GUY...NOT!
- “I like to go camping and hang out with the boys, do some fishing, shoot some sh*t and just f*ckin' chillin' I guess.” Curious here, while he is out in teh woods camping, is he getting stoned and/or drinking beer. If you are a friend of Levi's who can answer this question, Washington Scandal WANTS TO KNOW.
- He also claims to be "in a relationship," but states, "I don't want kids." ... great, the soon to be father of Sarah Palin's grandson or daughter does not even want kids, but had no problems getting his dick wet! CAN WE SAY, "USE A RUBBER you redneck moron!
This man/boy's lack of class screams volumes about Sarah Palin's lack of parental skills, brings into question her judgement. She wants to teach creationism and abstinance in our schools, but lets her daughter hang out with a self proclaimed redneck that does not have enough sense to use a rubber. Do we REALLY want her as a Vice President? More importantly, can we risk having her first in line to lead the free world if McCain's cancer claims his life while serving as President?
